The goal of Re-Pear is to to create a better bracing experience for those who suffer from Anterior Cruciate Ligament tears. Patients pre and post ACL surgery are required to wear lockout braces as support for the injured leg throughout the healing process. By incorporating a multidirectional silicone mesh inspired by the packaging for asian pears, Re-Pear improves over the pant interfacing, slippage caused by lower limb muscle flexion, and overall beauty compared to existing products, all while maintaining adequate support for the fragile knee over the course of physician prescribed use.
